Industrial action in June and July

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors will take strike action for five days from Thursday 27 June to Tuesday 2 July.

The strike will run from 7am on Thursday 27 June until 7am on Tuesday 2 July. 

UCLH will prioritise care in its emergency department for patients with a life-threatening illness or injury. Patients who do not have a life-threatening condition may be directed to other healthcare providers. 

We are working hard to minimise disruption to non-emergency services and maintain patient safety during this time. If we need to rearrange any appointments, we will contact patients directly to let them know. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. If you’re concerned and feel you need to speak to someone, please contact your consultant's office.   

Our maternity services and emergency department remain open – please do attend as normal if you need urgent care. UCLH will prioritise care in its emergency department for patients with a life-threatening illness or injury. Patients who do not have a life-threatening condition may be directed to other healthcare providers.
