Professional background

Dr Edgar Chan is a consultant clinical neuropsychologist and Deputy Head of Department in the Department of Neuropsychology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.  He completed his clinical training in Australia and obtained his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Queensland Brain Institute in 2012. He has a special interest in stroke and other neurovascular conditions and is an honorary senior research associate at the UCL Stroke Research Centre Institute of Neurology.

Research interests

Dr Chan’s research interests spans all aspects of neuropsychology, from investigating the cognitive and behavioural sequalae of common and rare neurological conditions to understanding the psychometric properties and utility of neuropsychological test instruments.
