The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is to undertake industrial action at a number of NHS trusts across the country on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 February. The strike action will impact all hospitals at UCLH.

During strike action, we will prioritise emergency care and patients seeking urgent treatment will be seen. We are working hard to ensure we minimise disruption to services and maintain patient safety during this time.

If we need to rearrange any appointments, we will contact patients directly to let them know. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. If you’re concerned and feel you need to speak to someone, please contact your clinical team using the contact information on your appointment letter or on our website.

If you need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111 unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.

Our maternity services and emergency department remain open – please do attend as normal if you need urgent care. Patients requiring the Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) should attend our Emergency Department first, as we are running a reduced service on 6 and 7 February.

If you’re still concerned then please speak to your consultant or call our team on 020 3448 4260
