Professional background

Dr Meneka Sidhu is a consultant neurologist and honorary senior lecturer at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and UCL/Institute of Neurology.

She qualified from The University of Manchester in 2004 and gained MRCP in 2007 from the Royal College of Physicians, London.

She trained in clinical neurology at Salford Royal Hospital, Kings College Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She was awarded a PhD from University College London, Institute of Neurology. Her doctoral thesis and ongoing research interests include cognitive structural and functional imaging in the context of epilepsy surgery. The translational aim of this is to investigate brain function before epilepsy surgery and predict cognitive outcome following surgery. 

Clinically she is also one of the attending epileptologists at the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy.
