Professional background
Ms Mary Murphy is a consultant neurosurgeon with a specialism in neurovascular surgery. She is currently the clinical director of neurosurgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, as well as the clinical director of private practice within the hospital. She is also the co-lead of the North London Neurosurgery Network.
Ms Murphy qualified from Trinity College Medical School, Dublin in 1995, after which she became fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (surgical neurology) in 2005. She has been a practising consultant neurosurgeon since 2006.
Her special interests include vascular and general neurosurgery including gamma knife and degenerative spine surgery.
