Professional background

Professor Rudenko is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI).  

He founded the London Allergy & Immunology Centre in 2011, originally as a single-practice clinic, which has since expanded into a multidisciplinary team including allergy, immunology, dermatology, ENT, pediatric allergy, and more. 

He oversees allergy & immunology services for babies, children, and adults. 

Research interests

His research and interest highlights include: 

  • Allergy, asthma, including sub-lingual specific immunotherapy in children, adolescents, and adults.  
  • Immunology of herpes viruses (e.g. Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus CMV), including work on recurrent herpes / prevention of EBV / CMV infection.  
  • Frequent unexplained infections, immunodeficiency/immune disorders (immunological assessment).  
  • Urticaria and angioedema (both chronic urticaria/inducible urticaria and angioedema).  
  • Use of digital/mobile health technologies in allergy care (mHealth).  

Publications

  • Professor Rudenko has published many works; according to his clinic profile, he has over 15 original articles, two editorials, over 50 scientific abstracts, 15+ review articles, five book chapters, and one monograph.  
  • On academic/research sites, he is shown as the author of ~50 publications.  
  • Some recent/notable works include being a co-author on the international Usage prevalence of angioedema patient-reported outcome measures: Results from the UCARE and ACARE PROMUSE study.  
  • He contributed to editorial work such as The complexity of urticaria (in the journal Front Allergy).  
  • He is involved in European task forces/committees relating to allergy and/or immunology, as well as being a member of the committee for knowledge examination in allergy (European Academy of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Task Forces and guidelines).
